General questions regarding my frontends.
Probably ‘cos I fecked up. I don’t have access to every game so I may have missed a few of the ID codes (especially Japanese ones). If such a thing happens please make a note of the games ID code and location and get in touch.
It’s quite simple really. First off you need to create a game configuration
in the editor.
Once this done go to the misc settings section. Enable the autorun this config option. Then insert the disk you want to autorun and click scan disk. That’s all there is to it.
You can also import
a psx game configs from epsxecutor. If you haven’t
already got these you can download them from either www.ngemu.com or
www.emufanatics.com. To create the files in expsxcutor , use the export option. Then use the import option in delta
to import this file.
This problem occurs if you insert a game disk into one drive, and have the cdr/cdvd plugin set to a different one. In order for multiple cd rom drives to be supported, you MUST use a plugin which can autodetect which drive is in use. At the time of writing this there are only two such plugins, namely SaPu and Xeven’s cdr plugins. Both are for epsxe. Either use these plugins or stick to using only one of your cd drives.
These runtime files are required for A7/Delta to run correctly. Try reinstalling delta and if that fails, you are available from the download page in a zip file.
Similar problem to above. In rare occasions, if you have the two files located above present in your windows system directory this error message appears. The solution is either to copy the two files into the delta folder, or use the full version. Thanks to twoin1accord for the solution.
Well surprisingly you can (In theory at least. I haven’t tried it myself). You could mount the iso via Deamon tools for instance. Alternatively you could use an image based cdr/cdvd plugin. Then attach the cd in the normal manner. That way whenever you insert a real disk it will runs the iso instead of the disk.
Yep. The installer has the option to places an icon in your startup folder for this very task. However if you did not select this option, you can add one manually. Make sure that you have set the “start in” option to the location of the frontend otherwise it will be unable to locate the config folder.
This situation occurs if you haven’t correctly specified the emu's location in the program paths dialog. Correct your entry to fix this message.
Goto the options dialog and choose the emu options tab. In the set autoplay defaults dropbox, set the default action to "do nothing". However configs with known game ids will disregard this, and run anyway. Thus you must also disable autoplay for each configuration also.
Check the “Alternative Disk Detection” option.
Most likely this is due to having the paths specified wrongly. Please check that the correct locations are entered via the program paths option.
The epsxe gamepad mapper needs at least Directx 8 to run. Make sure you have installed at least this version.
Also there is currently a bug in the SSSPSX plugin which prevents it from working correctly with ANY frontend programs. Until it is fixed it is recommended that you select a different pad plaugin.
This is possible for psx . By default whenever create a new config, Delta uses the existing settings from epsxe’s registry keys. The same is true for importing from the batard (epsxcutor uses its own keys for storing gamepad settings, so Delta uses these instead when importing from this source). Thus you should setup your most common settings via epsxe’s own mapper, and use delta’s for individual tweaking (eg switching the pad to classic mode for games that don’t work otherwise).
For Delta to correctly detect the cyberpad plugin, you MUST place the kailleraclient.dll file in BOTH the epsxe folder AND the plugins folder.
